The easiest habit for me is #7. I love to teach others what I have learned. Since childhood I wanted to be a teacher. My undergraduate degree is in Social Studies and I earned a teaching certificate, too. I feel that I have a chance to teach someone something new each day on my job. I especially love it when I get a chance to show a person how to do local history research. I learn many new things myself each day.

The hardest habit for me is #6. I need to use even more technology to my advantage. I am willing to learn how to use new technologies to better my work and personal life. I prefer to be shown how to do something rather than just reading about it. Leslie has been a big help to me getting started on this new adventure.
History has always been my favorite subject! My parents took us all over the United States on vacations and we always stopped at the most interesting places. When our children were old enough to remember what happened on trips we began traveling the state and the country together. Our family has visited all 120 Kentucky counties and 48 of the 50 United States. We are planning family trips to Alaska and Hawaii in the near future. We always try to visit historic sites during our travels as well as many other interesting spots along the way.

I have also traveled to Canada, Mexico, England, Egypt, Jordan, and Israel. Riding a camel in a sandstorm was quite an experience!
